Clickbooth Publisher Network Review

Posted on December 3, 2007 | | Share |

ClickBooth is the first CPA network that I ever joined and I have to say that it’s one of the best. Even though they are CPA network, they do have CPC ads which I have seen go up into the $1 mark however, they are mainly CPA, so you won’t see much CPC campaigns.

They are a little bit like Commission Junction, where as you have to be approved first, however only a few of ClickBooth’s campaign require approval.

I’ve found that their rates are a bit higher than some other CPA networks such as Adzoogleads.com, not by much, but could make a large difference if you can get a lot of conversions. They have campaigns which other networks have, and vice versa.

ClickBooth has one the largest variety of ad formats I have ever seen for any CPA network. They have all the standard ad units, such as the leaderboard, banner, skyscraper, and rectangle. This depends though on the type of campaign.

While some campaigns will have an abundance of banners and the works, some will just have two. You can get creative and make your own banners if you wish, but that requires approval by them first.

ClickBooth, pays on net-15. According to a recent AIM conversation with one of their representative, publishers get at least 90% of the cuts !!!

That’s huge and unheard of across many networks. Campaigns run from $1 to $350 as that’s what I’m currently seeing in the publisher page. CB also has a referral program where you will get $10 and 2% of the referral’s earning for life.

ClickBooth also has a few tools for you, that lets you create your own “pool” of advertisement, that rotate base on performance and various other factors.

They also have another rotator, called “Optimized Rotator” which are individual codes, (html, iframes, javascript) that are all base on the standard ad units (728×90, 160×600,468×90, etc) and few more, which contains a bunch of ads optimized to what they think performs the best.

So basically a bunch of rotating ads.

Publisher Interface

The interface is pretty clean, and looks very high tech, however there are a few bugs with FireFox, but from time to time, they have fixed the problems.

But you can still see a little bit of errors, here and there. That doesn’t really matter though.

When you first log in, at the top of the page you get to see your stats, for the day, month and total commission to date. If you want to see more stats, go on down to the stats page.

The stats page is fairly nice. You can sort base on dates, rotators, and any curatives that you gave a custom name.

If the daily stats aren’t good enough for you, you can see which ads are performing the best, by seeing how many impressions, leads, and various other stats for the day.

The tools page is pretty confusing, when I first started trying to figure out how to use it. Sometimes I find myself going from page to page in circles!

I think their campaign listing pages are pretty good. You can sort base on the type, size and the category if you want. They have a drop down list with all their offers but this slows down the surfing speed when it loads on every page, pretty much.

Once you find the right category, the following page is setup so that it’s nice and organize. Offers are clearly marked as CPL, CPC, CPA, etc, and they also give you the description, rate, and various other tidbits.

Customer Service

A lot of my fellow webmasters, have commented that they have one of the best customer service in the industry. I haven’t fully tested that theory out yet, but I have asked a few questions here and there via AIM because if you try to go to the help page, it’s not that informative.

So I usually send an instant message because it seems someone is always on AIM to answer your questions. So I find that pretty helpful and so might a lot of you.
